Why Are You an Atheist?
I have studied the works of atheist for several decades. I have found that at least 99% of all atheists are atheists for one reason. They studied the Christian religion and found it to be total bullshit. So, they became an atheist. They discovered that the God of the Bible, Yahweh, was exactly what Richard Dawkins described him to be:
“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”
I agree with his description of that God 100%. But if God exists, must he be the God that all atheists as well as all theologians believe him to be? That is God as the supposed author of the Bible? Or, are there other possibilities?
Let’s discuss that possibility.

With only a high school education and several technical school experiences, he embarked on a career as a hardware engineer, specializing in large mainframe computers. Despite not having a formal engineering degree, “engineer” was often part of his job title.
